Dr Rory Ridley-Duff is Reader in Co-operative and Social Enterprise at Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University. He has authored nearly 40 scholarly papers, four books and two novels. In addition to co-authoring Understanding Social Enterprise: Theory and Practice (Sage Publications) with Mike Bull, he has published The Case for FairShares after a decade of action research on ‘new co operativism’ (see www.fairshares.coop). The FairShares Model (which includes draft constitutions for multi-stakeholder partnerships, companies, co-operatives and associations) is a building block for platform co-ops contributing to the sharing economy. Dr Ridley-Duff has drafted constitutions for AnyShares Society (US), Ooooby Ltd (NZ) and For Good Causes (UK) to enable social entrepreneurs, coders, users and platform supporters to co-own their enterprise and practice co-operative governance. Dr Ridley-Duff has published his contributions to the FairShares Model under BY-NC-SA Creative Commons 4.0 International licences.
