Mags is the Chair of the IWGB Couriers & Logistics Branch, and works as a bike courier for CitySprint – the UK’s leading same-day distribution network. Mags has been helping to improve the industry through London Living Wage campaigns and by challenging their bogus employment status via the Tribunal process. Last week Mags won the case against CitySprint with a conclusive ruling, which described CitySprint’s contractual arrangements as “contorted”, “indecipherable” and “window-dressing”. The aim of the Branch is to continue to improve pay and conditions for couriers across London, and hopefully one day, for the rest of the UK as well.
